Brie Cheese With Gourmet Firehouse Salsa

Ingredients:

12 oz. crescent roll pastry dough

8 oz. of Brie cheese

8 oz. of our salsa (any flavor or heat level). Mandarin Orange was used for this recipe.

Note:

Freezing the Brie cheese prior to preparing this recipe will make it easier to cut the rind off.

Directions:

  1. Using parchment paper, lay out enough dough to make a 12” x 12” piece.
  2. Cut the Brie cheese in half so you can sandwich the salsa inside.
  3. Add more salsa over the top of the cheese.
  4. Place the cheese in the center of your dough and fold all sides to seal.
  5. Optional: crack an egg and brush the edges of the dough prior to folding so they stick better.
  6. Place the finished product in the freezer for 45 minutes prior to cooking.
  7. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  8. Using the parchment paper to transfer, place the uncooked Brie cheese and dough onto a cookie sheet.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Let cool for 10-15 minutes prior to serving. Serve with crackers or fruit.
